About Me

My name is Keith and I’ve been visiting France for over 20 years. I will be moving there permanently with my wife during 2020.

I’ve always been interested in history – for me that means historic monuments, cathedrals and churches, museums, classic vehicles and vintage farming machinery, local customs and traditional events. It’s an eclectic mix and France is full of places where you can find out about one or the other.

And on top of that of course is all the food and drink. I’m really interested in local and artisnal producers, particularly fresh produce, regional specialities, cheese and real ale and craft beer.

The aim of this blog is to provide some insight into the sites we have visited, perhaps pointing out a few unusual features, and hopefuly encouraging others to visit.
